Photos
When you use our AI species identification feature, you may upload underwater photos. These photos are processed to identify marine species. Photos you choose to share are visible to other users in the community feed.
Dive Logs
When you log a dive, we store details you provide such as depth, conditions, date, location, photos, and species encountered.
Location Data
With your permission, we access your device location to show nearby dive sites and dive centers on the map. Location data is only accessed when you use map features and is not continuously tracked in the background.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the App, such as which features are used and general app performance metrics.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App's features, including AI species identification
- To display your dive logs, species sightings, and shared content
- To show you relevant dive sites and dive centers near your location
- To enable community features such as the activity feed

3. AI Species Identification
When you use our AI fish identification feature, your photos are processed using machine learning models to identify marine species. Photos submitted for identification are used solely for providing you with identification results. We do not use your personal photos to train AI models without your explicit consent.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data in the following cases:
- Community features: Dive logs, species sightings, and photos you choose to share publicly are visible to other Divera users.
- Service providers: We use third-party services to host and operate the App (e.g., cloud infrastructure, analytics). These providers only access data as needed to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
